This piece was written by looking at a strip of paint (the colors are listed below). The concept for this piece is that it takes place in a world similar to ours, but with hybrid characters living in places where wild animals can be found. In this case, the hybrids are found in the Amazon. One of these hybrids is Tigerlily, known as the Guardian of the Amazon, who protects the rainforest from outsiders that wish to destroy it. However, this piece is written about a human girl named Saboo who has the power to contact Nature Spirits and acts as Tigerlily's partner when fending of hostile outsiders. The original version of this piece was rushed and had very little detail. In this version, I included more details about Saboo's Powers and about some of my hybrids that occupy the Amazon.

Colors:
Finesse
Babbling Brook
Blueberry Patch
Daring Indigo

Title: Spirit Contact

Finesse eyes were uncommon, but Saboo’s once black eyes became that color when she found herself stuck in the Amazon. In addition, her eyes would glow whenever a Nature Spirit contacted Saboo. She has had the ability to contact Nature Spirits for years, but when Saboo first discovered this ability, she thought she was going insane. After all, she would constantly claim to hear voices and when she asked the hybrids that inhabited the Amazon, they could not hear anything.
Over time, Saboo learned that she was in fact sane and that the voices she heard were Nature Spirits that were trying to contact her. The Spirits often provided Saboo with valuable information about the Amazon and its inhabitants, mostly the hybrids, so she embraced her gift. Because of the Nature Spirits, Saboo constantly heard things about the hybrids that humans would never know. She learned how territorial predatory hybrids, like the ones who were half tiger or panther, could be. But she also learned that all of the hybrids had the deepest respect for nature and were devoted to protecting their territories from outsiders who wished to exploit them.

Now, Saboo sat in front of a blueberry patch and pulled off a couple of berries. She cautiously tasted one, despite knowing that blueberries were not toxic. But in the Amazon, one could never be too careful. But then Saboo heard the whisper of a Nature Spirit with a message from Tigerlily, who was Saboo’s partner in combat and who was requesting her presence. The tiger-hybrid rarely contacted Saboo during peacetime, but when she did, it was usually important. So Saboo discarded the blueberries and sprinted to Tigerlily’s location, spear in hand.
She found Tigerlily at an area the hybrids called Babbling Brook, though the humans had a different name for it. But Tigerlily was not alone. The tiger-hybrid sat on a large boulder and next to her was another hybrid who was dressed in a rather daring indigo outfit. But what stood out the most about this new hybrid was that she was half bat. Saboo had never seen her before, but she knew that bat-hybrids were nocturnal by nature. So if one was out during the day, it was usually a sign that something was wrong. Especially since said bat-hybrid was with the Guardian of the Amazon.

Some of my favorite characters to create are hybrids. And among the hybrids I've created, my favorites are ones that are half-dragon since I'm a dragon lover. This piece takes place in a fantasy version of the modern world where dragons and hybrids sometimes appear, but the world is also divided into several Realms where dragons and other fantasy creatures are more common than they are in the modern world. The concept behind this piece is two rivals who find that a common enemy is a strong unifying force.

A Common Enemy

How could anyone be so strong? I was lying on the ground, slowly fading out of consciousness and gazing at the man who just defeated me. I could no longer see his face, but I could still tell that, like me, he was a dragon-hybrid. But he was far more powerful than I was. I was a skilled fighter, but he still defeated me with minimal effort. My vision continued to darken and I heard the faint sound of his laughter.

“How pathetic,” he said, “You honestly thought you could take on me by yourself?”

I opened my mouth to retort, but I couldn’t bring myself to speak.

He continued, “I have taken on dragons and hybrids far stronger than you and still won. No one can defeat me alone.”

And with that, he left and I slipped into unconsciousness.

---

“Danae!”

“Danae, wake up!”

I became aware of someone calling me and slowly opened my eyes. In front of me was the dragon Isador and he looked concerned. I tried to get up, only to feel a wave of pain. Isador gently pressed his claws against my torso and forced me to lie down again.

“You shouldn’t move yet,” he said, “You were badly injured and losing a lot of blood when I found you.”

I looked around and realized that I was no longer on the streets, but instead in Isador’s cave. He must’ve brought me here while I was still unconscious.

“How long was I out?” I asked in a hoarse voice.

“A couple days,” Isador said, “I would allow you to continue sleeping, but I need to know what happened to you?”

“I was attacked…by another dragon-hybrid,” I said, “He was so powerful and…he said that…no one can defeat him.”

“Not alone at least,” Isador said.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“To win you will need allies,” Isador said, “I know that you prefer to fight alone and you are good at it. But there is strength in numbers. Forming a team with other hybrids will give you an advantage over any solitary opponent.”

“He’s right,” a new voice said.

Isador and I turned to the cave entrance and, to our surprise another dragon-hybrid was standing there. And he was one that I recognized as Daren, a friend of mine, who was almost as badly beat-up as I was. His shirt was torn and he was covering a bleeding wound with one hand. His long brown hair was a tangled mess and the tie he normally used to hold back his hair had come undone. He was covered in scratches and one of his wings was punctured, making me wonder how he was able to fly here.

“I was attacked by a dragon-hybrid as well and I believe it’s the same one who attacked you, Danae,” he said, “He goes by the name of Vince and he is one of the strongest hybrids I have encountered. I barely escaped with my life.”

“And I believe you two are not the only ones,” Isador said, “I have heard rumors of similar attacks on other hybrids living in this Realm. One of which is Elsa”

I scowled at the mention of that name. Elsa was a water dragon-hybrid who worked as a mercenary. And she was my biggest rival. I’ve lost track of how many times she tried to kill me either because of her hatred for me or because she was offered money for my hide. Often it was both. For that reason, I wondered why Isador was telling me this. I didn’t care if Vince attacked Elsa. If anything, Vince would be doing me a favor if he killed her.

I decided to voice my question. “Why are you telling me this?”

“Because Elsa can be a valuable ally if you two would be willing to work together,” Isador said.

“Never!” I cried, “Why would I work with someone who constantly tries to kill me?”

“She does have a point,” Daren said, “Elsa is more likely to stab her in the back than work with her, especially if she is offered money to do it.”

“I know,” Isador said, “But you two would be surprised with how strong a motivator a common enemy is.”

---

A few weeks passed since Isador suggested that Daren and I team up with Elsa. We were able to recover from our fights with Vince and Daren decided that we should take Isador’s advice. Naturally, I rejected the idea, but Daren insisted and he can be pretty stubborn sometimes. So we flew to a beach bordering the Atlantic Ocean where Elsa lives. To our surprise, Elsa was not underwater and instead on land, sitting on a cluster of rocks and gazing towards the ocean.

Her back was to us, so Daren called out to her. “Elsa!”

She turned around and faced us. “Danae. Daren. I’m surprised to see you here, especially you Danae,” Elsa said, standing and flying towards us.

“I couldn’t let Daren come alone,” I said as Elsa landed in front of me.

“Why? You don’t trust me not to take his hide for money?” Elsa asked in a mocking tone.

I glared at Elsa and was really tempted to reach for the swords mounted on my back. But Daren came here to make an offer to her, so I restrained myself.

“We didn’t come here to fight,” I said, “Daren has an offer for you.”

“I’m listening,” Elsa said, her gaze shifting to Daren.

“I heard you were attacked by a dragon-hybrid named Vince. Is this true?” Daren asked. Elsa nodded and he continued, “Danae and I are going after him, but the dragon Isador said we need allies. Will you join us?”

“Depends, will I be getting paid?” Elsa asked.

Typical Elsa. Only willing to take a job if she can get paid for it. No wonder she became a mercenary.

“Sorry, but no. I’m asking you to join us because of our common enemy,” Daren said.

“Not interested,” Elsa said. She then spread her wings and took flight, “Come back if you’re willing to offer me some kind of payment.”

She dove into the water after that.

“I guess Isador was wrong about Elsa,” I said.

“I guess so,” Daren said.

“So what now?” I asked.

“We return to Isador and ask him what other hybrids might be willing to join us,” Daren said.

But we never got a chance to.

Just as Daren and I were about to take flight, we were hit from behind by a wave of black fire. Being fire dragon-hybrids, both of us were unharmed by the fire, but we still turned around to see our attacker, who was another dragon-hybrid. And one I recognized. He had black hair and a goatee in the same color and his skin was pale. He was wearing a long, but slightly torn black coat, which I thought would’ve made him look like an aristocratic vampire if not for the black dragon wings and tail. This man was Vince, the hybrid who almost killed me.

I drew my swords and Daren shifted into a full dragon, but Vince just smiled like a madman and sent a wave of black energy at Daren. Within seconds, he was out cold. Vince tried to do the same thing to me, but I was fast enough to evade his attack.

Seeing that he missed, Vince scowled at me and drew his own swords. He swung his swords at me and I blocked. I tried to make a counterattack, but he pressed his swords against mine and to free them, I would have to make myself vulnerable to his attacks. So rather than using my swords, I unleashed my fire breath in his face. Vince cried out in pain and pulled back, but to my surprise, his face was unburned, probably because he also had some fire power.

For a while, we exchanged blows, but like before, Vince easily got the upper hand and disarmed me. After that, it was easy for him to injure me and force me to my knees. He grabbed my neck, though his grip was not tight enough to choke me.

“I should kill you now, Dragongirl,” Vince said, “But I admire you for having the courage to fight me twice, so I’ll make you join me instead.”

His free hand started to glow purple and I knew what he planned to do. Corruption magic. Vince planned to use a spell that would force me to join the dark side by magnifying my faults and reversing all of my positive traits. The spell was difficult to break because to do so, I would have to engage in a mental battle with myself and if I lost, the spell would become permanent.

I struggled to free myself, but Vince was too strong and his grip only tightened. He lowered his glowing hand to touch my face and cast the spell, but then I heard the sound of something leaping out of the ocean and a massive wave of water crashed down on us. Vince released his grip on me and both of us turned to the source of the wave. To my surprise, it was Elsa. She was flying above the ocean with her sword drawn and she used it to manipulate another wave, which she sent at Vince. He tried to stand his ground, but was knocked back by the water.

Soaking wet, Vince glared at Elsa and then took flight. Elsa landed next to me and offered me a hand. I hesitated before taking it and Elsa helped me up.

“I thought you weren’t interested in helping me,” I said.

“I’m not, but I am interested in taking down Vince,” Elsa said, “I’ll fight with you and Daren, but only until Vince is dead. And I suppose I’ll do it for free.”

So Isador was right. Nothing united two former rivals like a common enemy.

Encounter With Riva

Whenever Riva looks at me, I almost expect her fire cloak to ignite. After all, she is a fire dragon, though I would have never guessed that based on her appearance. Normally, fire dragons have red or orange scales, but Riva’s scales are gray and blue. But her odd scale colors don’t make her any less fierce when she is angry or provoked. When that happens, her scales shine brightly and small flames rise from them, which soon turn into a blazing fire that cloaks Riva.

I see her resting in the forest. She is lying down, but her eyes are open, indicating that she is still alert to potential danger. Most likely, she was just hunting but decided to relax for a few minutes before returning to her cave. I step on a twig, which alerts her to my presence. She picks up her head and looks in my direction. Almost surprisingly, her fire cloak does not ignite, though her scales start to shine as if they will burst into flame at any second. She just stares in my direction.

Another person would flee, but this is not my first encounter with Riva. I have seen her before and even managed to earn her trust, which is not an easy thing to do. Riva is slow to trust others, especially humans. In fact, the only reason she would even speak to me initially is because I am only half human. My other half is one of Riva’s kin. Yes, I am half dragon.

I’ve been this way for as long as I can remember and most people were not exactly accepting of a hybrid girl in a world run by humans. They rejected me because I was a freak…or maybe they were afraid of me. With the large blue wings on my back, my spiked tail, horns, sharp claws, and fangs, I must have looked like a demonic monster to some people, despite looking primarily human. But Riva does not fear or reject me.

I approach her. The first time I saw Riva, my approach was slow and cautious. At the time, I did not know that Riva could set herself on fire, but I did know that Riva would still be quite dangerous if she decided that I was a threat. Of course, now I approach Riva as a friend or an ally (Riva insists that we’re allies, not friends). She watches me, somewhat suspicious, but this is Riva. She is weary around everyone, including me, despite claiming that I earned her trust. Once I asked her why and she said that when you trust someone too much, you lower your guard and they can easily betray you. I guess she was talking from experience.

When I’m close enough, Riva gives me a silent greeting and I give her a small wave. I sit next to her, but my tail makes sitting somewhat awkward at first and I have to shift to get in a more comfortable position with my tail off to the side.

“What are you doing in the forest?” I ask Riva.

“Hunting, she says, confirming my earlier thoughts, “And you?”

“Just going for a walk,” I reply.

Riva scoffs, “Why walk when you can fly?”

Of course, she is referring to the wings on my back. Since I am half dragon, I have some draconic abilities. One of them is flight. My wings are large enough to carry me though the sky and Riva has seen me take flight before. We have even flown together a number of times.

“Because I enjoy walking,” I say.

Riva only rolls her eyes, but she is a dragon, not a hybrid. She does not always understand why certain things bring me pleasure when a dragon might not enjoy them. She does not see the point of walking long distances when flying is significantly faster. Especially since most humans would gladly give up the ability to walk if they could fly instead. But I just find walking relaxing. Of course, I also love flying and would never sacrifice my wings or the feeling of complete freedom that comes from being airborne that Riva and all other winged dragons are addicted to. Despite being a hybrid, I have become addicted to this feeling as well.

Riva suddenly turns, as if she is detecting the scent of some wild animal. I do not register any scent, but I’m just a hybrid. My senses are sharper than those of an ordinary human, but they will never be as strong as the senses of a dragon.

Sure enough, a deer walks into my line of sight. Riva looks like she is considering chasing it, but decides not to. I guess she has already satisfied her hunting needs for now. The deer leaves and Riva’s gaze shifts to me. She’s probably wondering why I don’t hunt very often when my dragon instincts should be prompting me to. But she only sees this forest as a hunting ground and does not see the point of coming here for anything other than a hunting expedition (unless she is promised treasure of course). Naturally, she does not understand why I walk around in the forest for no reason, but she’s used to seeing me here.

That is how we met actually. I had been walking in the forest like I was today when I saw a dragon moving swiftly; most likely she was hunting. Her scales were gray and blue and she wore two golden necklaces. This was also one of the only times I saw her without her scales shimmering and threatening to ignite. But I guess I had gotten too close because she detected my scent and soon her attention was on me.

I should have run (or flown away), but I didn’t. I stayed because I was surprised to see a dragon. They rarely appeared these days and most people thought they were extinct. Besides, I had never met one of my kin I felt more connected to dragons than humans, despite my humanoid appearance.

The dragon was also surprised to see me, but for different reasons. Hybrids were extremely rare and the majority of hybrids took on the feature of wild animals like tigers or wolves. Hybrids based on creatures like dragons were even less common. Some people even believed that such hybrids did not exist (unless they happened to encounter one). The dragon obviously did not expect to see me, a humanoid girl with dragon wings, walking through the forest.

I convinced her to talk to me and learned that her name was Riva and that she was a fire dragon, despite her unusual scale colors. We met a few times after that, usually in the forest, but occasionally in the sky. During one of those encounters, Riva showed me her fire cloak. During another, she gave me lessons in hunting (she was quite surprised to learn that I didn’t know how to hunt). And during a more recent encounter, I brought a sketchbook and drew Riva lying in the grass. Since all dragons are naturally vain, Riva had no objections to posing for me.

I stay in the forest with Riva for a while. Despite the fact that she insists that we are still allies and not friends, I think she really does consider me a friend. She is just too proud to admit it. But I could be wrong. It’s often hard to tell with Riva.

Few people have seen dragons in the forests, but fewer people have seen hybrids. So when the dragon Riva encounters a hybrid girl, who is probably one of the only dragon hybrids in existance, it leads to an unexpected relationship.

A Martial Arts Lesson

As I enter, I bow. Other students are here, waiting for our lesson to begin. The instructors call us forward and the wait is over. The lesson has begun.

Warm-up. Stretch. Jog. Do jumping jacks. Do push ups.

Practice. Punch twice. Roundhouse kick. Spinning kick. Chamber for a block.

More practice. Get a partner. Kick simultaneously. No contact. Attack. Step back. Counter. Repeat. Add another attack. Roundhouse kick. Jump to the side. Roundhouse kick again.

Curriculum. Required to earn the next rank. Advance from second degree black to third degree black. Forms. Step forward and block. Turn and kick. Repeat on the other side. Maintain your stance. Self-defense. Break their hold. Take them down.

Board Breaking. Aim first. It hurts if you miss. Choose a technique-a palm hit. Add a spin or jump for style. Strike at the board. Don't hold back. Go to the next board. Repeat the process but kick this time.

Nunchucks. For black belts only. Useful in a fight, but only used for show. Learn trick to perform in tournaments. Spin the nunchucks. Toss them and catch them. Throw in a few kicks and punches for extra style.

Sparring. My favorite part. Put on your gear. Today it will be contact sparring. Face your opponent. Begin. Strike first. Catch them off guard. Dodge the counterstrike. Strike again. Miss. Block. Get close enough to punch. Avoid kicks to the head. Roundhouse kick. Spinning kick. Punch twice. Repeat until the round is over.

Dismissed. The lesson has ended.

Encounter With Riva

Riva, the fire dragon with gray and blue scales, rests in the forest. She is laying down, but still alert. Maybe she was just hunting but wanted to relax for a few minutes before returning to her cave. She looks in my direction. Another person would flee, but this is not my first encounter with Riva. I have seen her before and even earned her trust, which is not an easy thing to do. Riva is slow to trust others, especially humans. In fact, the only reason she would even speak to me initially is because I am only half human. My other half is one of Riva's kin. Yes, I am half dragon.

I approach her. The first time I saw Riva, my approach was slow, but now I walk to her as I would with an old friend. She watches me, somewhat suspicious, but this is Riva. She is still weary around me, despite claiming that I earned her trust, but she is weary around everyone. Once I asked her why and she said that when you trust someone too quickly, they can easily betray you. I guess she was talking from experience.

When I'm close enough, Riva gives me a silent greeting and I give a small wave. I sit near her and ask, "What are you doing in the forest?"

"Hunting," Riva answers, confirming my earlier thoughts, "And you?"

"Just going for a walk," I say.

Riva scoffs, "Why walk when you can fly?"

Of course, she is referring to the wings on my back. As I said before, I'm half dragon, which means I have some draconic abilities. One of those abilities is flight. My wings are large enough to carry me and Riva has seen me fly before. I even flew with her once.

"Because I enjoy walking," I say.

Riva only rolls her eyes, but she is a dragon, not a hybrid. She does not always understand things that bring me pleasure that a dragon might not enjoy. She does not see the point of walking long distances when flying is faster. She also does not see the point of entering the forest for anything that isn't a hunting expedition (unless someone promised her treasure of course). But now she is used to seeing me in the forest for no reason.

That is how we met actually. I had been walking in the forest like I was today when I saw a dragon with gray and blue scales and two gold necklaces around her neck. Based on how she moved, she had been hunting when I saw her. She quickly detected my scent and looked in my direction, somewhat surprised to see a hybrid.

I should have run, but I didn't. I stayed and convinced the dragon to talk to me. I learned that her name was Riva and that she was a fire dragon, but her scales were unusual colors for one (fire dragons are normally red or orange, not gray and blue). I also learned that hybrids were extremely rare, which explained why Riva seemed so surprised to see me.

After that, we met a few more times and usually had short conversations. I think Riva considers me a friend now, but it's hard to tell with her.

Why Should I Be Normal?

I have never been considered "normal," but to be normal, I would have to be fake. Why would I want that? Being abnormal is more fun and I can be myself.

Normal girls shop for shoes and skirts and purses. I browse those stores and try not to look too bored. Normal girls gossip about their friends' love lives and the "it" couple. I find gossip annoying so I tune it out to heavy metal from my ipod. Normal girls watch chick-flicks. I watch action movies with epic fight scenes. Normal girls style their hair and put on makeup. I braid my hair to get it out of the way and don't waste my time with something like makeup.

These are ways I'm abnormal in terms of stereotypes and expected behavior for girls, but there is one more that I forgot to mention: I can fight. I am martial artist. I can defend myself. I don't need "Prince Charming" to rescue me. I'll rescue myself. Few girls have the skills needed to fight and I love being one of those few.

My refusal to play a stereotypical role is not my only abnormal trait. I have creative and unusual thoughts that later turn into drawings or occasionally stories. I have created worlds where dragons and witches and vampires live among humans. And I populated these worlds with bizarre and often uncommon characters. Female werewolves, benevolent demons, human-animal hybrids, and more. These characters refuse to be normal, so why can't I?

If someone asked me to try being normal and I would act like they are crazy. To be normal, I would have to act like a stereotypical girl. I would have to stop doing martial arts and start to gossip and wear makeup. I would have to abandon the worlds I created and the characters who live in them. Doing so would make me feel superficial and would drive me to madness.

I could never be fake, not when I have more fun as myself. I will never know how other people can pretend to be someone they are not just to fit in. I would rather be an outcast than a fake, yet I found friends who love me for my abnormalities.

So why should I be normal?

Growing Madness

As time progresses, I start to descend into madness. I try to fight off my insanity, but I can only resist for so long before it takes over.

My mental state becomes unstable. Are nightmares a sign of madness? This question and more run through my head as I slowly descend into madness.

Not all insanity is bad. Some of it gives me ideas. That type of insanity is my inspiration. Writers listen to voices in their heads and record what they say. Artists draw the people they see when no one else does. This type of insanity is called imagination. This is the type that I embrace...that I desire.

But insanity has a dark side and it does not come with cookies. Hearing voices. Hallucinations. Corruption. Multiple personalities. This is the kind of insanity I fear. I fear that i will lose my sanity because of these forms of madness. I fear that I will turn into someone so crazy that even the mental hospitals will not help me.

The things a person does with the dark side of madness takes over are the reason I fear it. Murders comitted without a just cause. Insane murderers try to justify it by blaming the voices they hear or their own twisted ideals.

As the Joker once said, "Madness is like gravity. All it takes is a little push." I cannot help but wonder what will push me to madness. What will it take to make me lose my sanity to both the good and bad kind of madness? I want to know, but at the same time, I fear the answer.

A Dragon's Revenge

Betrayal. Hurt. Pain. Anger.

That is what Riva felt as she flew towards the humans. She trusted them and they betrayed her. They claimed to be her allies and convinced Riva to show them her cave in the mountains, but all they wanted was her treasure. They robbed her while she was hunting and now she wanted revenge. After all, nobody can rob a dragon and expect to live, unless they killed the dragon of course. But Riva was very much alive.

The only warning the humans would recieve would be a savage roar and it would be quickly followed by a powerful blast of fire that would easily burn their camp. Riva could easily seek her revenge from the sky and choose to just burn down the camp wihtout landing, but that would not satisfy her. So she would land, but her fire cloak would be ignited. When she landed, the humans would not be able to touch her without being burned alive. Some of the humans might have bows, but Riva's scales would provide her with protection against the arrows if her fire cloak did not. The humans would be killed by claws and by fire. If any of them tried to escape, Riva would take flight again and find them. None of these humans could be allowed to live.

After Riva carried out her revenge, she would reclaim her stolen treasure and return to the mountains. And she would be careful to never allow herself to trust humans again. They were not her allies, only her enemies. Humans have always been the enemies of dragons, but Riva was young and thought that these humans were different than the elders of her kind claimed.

She had thought coexistance between their species had been possible. After all, human Dragon Riders existed, though they were rare. If some humans were worthy to ride dragons and fight with them, why couldn't the two species live together?

So when the humans claimed that they wanted to be her allies, Riva made the mistake of completely lowering her guard. She assumed these humans were telling the truth even when humans are somewhat notorious for lying. But this had been Riva's first encounter with humans that did not occur on a battlefield or on a brief hunting expedition and Riva was still young by dragon standards. Had she been human, Riva would have been a teenager when she met these humans.

Young dragons are often the most naive of their kind. For Riva, that meant being too quick to trust humans who just wanted her gold. Despite her young age, Riva had an impressive hoard of treasure in her cave. She should have known that any human who claimed to be an ally just wanted her treasure. But she didn't know.

And what these humans did not know is that young dragons are also the most savage of their kind when they have been angered. An older dragon would still seek revenge, but it would not be as brutal as what Riva had planned for these humans who betrayed her.

She was a fool to think that humans could be trusted. And she would never make that mistake again. She would never be betrayed again. Not by humans.

Author's Notes: I wrote this about my dragon character Riva because I couldn't think of anything else to write about and I've already established that I love dragons. To me, this seems kind of short, but writer's block is bothering me.

I titled my blog "Deviantart is Superior" because, in my opinion, deviantart is  the superior website, but that does not mean my blog will be about just deviantart superiority. Of course, I will be attaching a link to my deviantart account as well as some of my artwork.

I will also be commenting on Batt M's blog about supposedly non-existant feathered dragons while pretending to be a female dragon named Riva (a character I created) who is trying to prove to him that feathered dragons do exist.

My deviantart username is dragongirl117 and I usually portray myself as a human-dragon hybrid or sometimes a dragon. Things you should know about me are that I am an artist (most of my art is done in anime style), I love dragons, I know Taekwondo, I hate stereotypes (especially ones about females), and I don't like stalkers, so if there is something you want to know about me that I do not reveal on this blog or my deviantart account, don't bother asking.

Most of my favorite books are fantasy or sci-fi novels including Eragon, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Ranger's Apprentice. I also love mangas including Vampire Knight, Fairy Tail, Bleach, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Eventually, I would like to write my own novel series or illustrate a graphic novel series. I already have plenty of ideas.

The title says it all. Deviantart is the superior website and it's where I post most of my artwork.
